A Skanner Darkly

           A Skanner Darkly

Back Story
A skanner darkly is a film about a a cop in a not to distant future who gets involved with a dangerous new drug on the market, and begins to lose his own identity as a result, it is filmed in a mind blowing way.

How The animation / effects were created

The film was shot digitally and then animated using interpolated rotoscope, an animation technique in which animators trace over footage, frame by frame, for use in live-action and animated films, over the original footage, giving it its distinctive animated look.

(Here are some screen shot's of the animation technique in action, i shall also be adding futher adaptation later today.)

Koko's Konquest

Max Fleischer - Kokos Conquest

Max fleischers animations were revolutionary, the only competition back in those days was walt disney and a few other companys, but fleischer wanted to be the best and in creating the first animated film with sound on it got him some edge and pushed his reputation as an animator to a higher level.

(The link above is koko's conquest, and i shall also be releasing more information on this later today)

Screen Shots

Chinza Dopeness

Chinzadopeness – Mogu Mogu

I thought that the music and attention to detail while syncing the animation to the music was excellently executed, the animation it's self is crisp looking but rather simple in most case's, but it all work's together perfectly.

Running animation – The run cycles on Mogu Mogu were just simple 5 fram run cycles with no hop or skip, therefore giving them a sliding effect.

I will be releasing more on this later today but for now here are some screen shot's from Mogu Mogu.

weekly update 2

Weekly update 2

This week i completed a series of animations, including :- my shop keeper scene, a few zoomed out stick figure skating scene's for my skate boarding scene in my animation, i also figured out that if you use alot of simple zoomed out shot's it make's it alot easier to get alot more done very quickly, i think i must encorporate this into my further animations.

By the end of next week i indent to have a good amount of my munblunko animation done i shall also be releasing some more images such as the one above, maybe even some scenes.

Miss botswallow rotoscoped scene

Miss botswallow rotoscoped scene

More munblunko scenes people !!!!
This Next scene is a rotoscoped piece that i did, it's a short clip but the mouth sync on it worked and i am very pleased with it, i created this using flash proffesional cs6 using a timeline intergrated flv video clip of me doing the motion i wanted, which was "nooo !!!" with me pointing at the camera, i then drew over this added assests and layers and coloured it in.

Weekly Summary 1

Weekly summary

This week i have started animating my scenes for my adventures of munblunko animation, i've also been developing some screen recordings of me problem solving in my work, this includes me finding the quickest easiest way's to create short quirky animations, and also how to quickly fully outline a rotoscoped animation.
